Quality Certifications

Thanks to its efficient business management and development system which meets international standards, the Medellin-Antioquia Chamber of Commerce has been ISO 9001:2000 certified for 8 of its process. In addition 11 of its processes are OHSAS 18001:2007 certified.

The Medellin Chamber of Commerce - A Great Place to Work

In 2010, the Chamber was one of the 10 great places to work in Colombia. Based on the Great Place to Work survey, the Chamber climbed from the 22nd place in 2009 to the eighth place in 2010.

In 2011, the Great Place to Work, Institute located in U.S.A. conducted an assessment of the results of the survey made in 2010 among 2,000 businesses in 11 Latin American countries. In this analysis, the Medellin-Antioquia Chamber of Commerce was chosen as one of the great places to work in Latin America, reaching the 11th place among the top 50 of “National Businesses”. The Chamber was the best of Antioquia.  

The Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber, Lina Vélez de Nicholls, pointed out that the organization is a great place to work “because of its demanding and transparent hiring process, which guarantees a harmonious and competitive team not only with good professionals, but with integral human beings; this guarantees close ties between leaders and their teams.”

In addition, she said that “the pride displayed by the employees towards the organization is the result of combining the good treatment received and several positive and evident results of the organization perceived by the public opinion.”
